Seven years ago I wanted to get a dog, but my husband was against it. So instead I bought an African Grey Parrot. I took my step-daughter along to avoid friction when my surprise came home. Now Ollie is a part of the family. (I should say we are a part of his flock) He is written in my will as he will outlive me. He talks in sentences and understands the syntex of many words. He's the best thing next to grandkids.
